poem #44

The white clouds dissipate
like blown dandelion foam
leaving only the empty sky
heartlessly, heartlessly blue.

This is a short free verse poem. It’s not a quite a haiku, and not quite an Imagist poem, but draws from both. I learned today that a friend has recently suffered the sudden loss of a loved one, whom I also knew.  This is for them.
