Buddha #66 – painting with metals

I really like Will Berry’s work…he paints in metal like white lead,  aluminum and such.  I don’t really have the right setup for all that, but I thought metal leaf would be a start. This is on 8×10 heavily gessoed canvas, the background is a slurry of water and iron scale from the shop floor, and then adhesive was painted on for the two leaf colors and the leaf was rubbed on.  I definitely want to revisit this method during the year.
